A Seed currency, social impact fintech that uses blockchain, is launching the CurrencyAcademy education platform. Courses will have different approaches. But, always involving sustainable development of communities and support for minorities, the startup’s focus.
Thus, the first course was on female entrepreneurship and financial knowledge for more than 200 women, last August. the course happensheaven in partnership with the project Todos Elas, of the Assis Chateaubriand Foundation, which focuses on low-income women.
In addition, at the end of the course, Moeda Semente launched a microcredit line with monitoring, fast approval and affordable fees. This is because the MoedaAcademy identified with the entrepreneurs the difficulties in putting their projects into practice. Among them is that of including financial resources, thus, inspired the creation of a modality of microcredit.
“I found the course very valid, I liked the format, methodology, how information is passed on and also the easy access. I managed to get the information quickly”. That’s what Janaína Pereira, social mobilizer of the Samambaia Project, which is part of the Todos Elas program, said.
CurrencyAcademy courses are online and distance learning. This is because one of the purposes is also to “expand the platform in regions with material or internet accessibility difficulties”.
According to the Seed Currency, the platform is therefore aligned with four of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals: gender equality, decent work and economic growth, reduction of social and economic differences and responsible production and consumption.
According to Moeda Semente, “the education platform is available to receive support from the network of users of MoedaPay”, its digital wallet. Support can start at R$5 with a bonus of 1% per month and return on investment on March 25, 2022.
