This one is for those who want to be a partner with the singer and songwriter Zeca Baleiro. The musician released today (31) in partnership with the platform TuneTraders, tokens for his new song “O Tempo Não Espera”. Each token is worth R$ 100.00 and whoever buys it will be entitled to a royalty for three years.
In this way, the artist raises funds for music production and avoids intermediaries in this financing and payment of royalties. “It’s great that new ways to promote and market the production of music artists are emerging. New tracks will open up from this marriage between technology and music, the future of art points to this path”, said Zeca Baleiro.
The sale of Zeca Baleiro’s token will take place for 14 days. 1,360 shares were available for 80% of the net income from the digital distribution of the work. At 7:48 pm on Tuesday, there were 1,260 in stock.
Each person buys as many tokens as they want. The royalty payment will be based on the number of times the song plays from September 17th, when it enters the platform. Every quarter, whoever has the tokens will receive a report on the streaming revenue, in addition to the payment. Anyone who wants can then sell their share on TuneTraders.
Zeca Baleiro token holders are expected to help promote the song. And whoever buys 10 shares will also participate in a virtual audition with Zeca Baleiro and talk to the artist.
“We empower artists by connecting them to fans and backgrounds. We use blockchain as a utility to simplify royalty distribution, dilute executive music production among fans and track revenue,” said Carlos Gayotto, CEO of TuneTraders.
TuneTraders will be responsible for distributing the music on digital platforms and for making available the reports with the royalties collected and that each fan must receive according to the quota purchased.
According to Zeca Baleiro, is a reggaeton that I composed during the pandemic. “a reflection on this time of pain and uncertainty in which we are immersed, and the need to, in a way, ‘rebuild the world’, the outside and the inside. Despite the reflective text, the music is an invitation to dance, joy and hope for better days. Let’s dance on the ashes”.
Baleiro has more than 20 years of career and numerous awards and nominations, including the Latin Grammy, APCA and Prêmio da Música Brasileira.
