The Fintech ecosystem is growing in Latin America, according to a VISA study

A survey revealed in January 2022 reflected that the growth of the fintech ecosystem in Latin America experienced 52% growth in financing to the sector according to data revealed by VISA and disclosed by CMS Group to Cointelegraph in a press release on Tuesday, March 21, 2022.

The results revealed by the VISA investigation are the main reason for exploration and debate at the next Fintech Digital World Trip 2022, a digital event organized by the Argentine company CMS-Group and transmitted exclusively by the firm.

Regarding this growth, Matías Gorosito, Vice President of CMS Group and curator of the program, pointed out some exclusive points that are decisive for the rise of financial startups in the Latin American ecosystem.

“First, the fact that Latin America is gigantic and overpopulated. Second, restricted access to credit and financial services by a greater number of people within the traditional financial system. In addition, the lack of competition meant that traditional banks did not feel the need to innovate services and user experience routes”, highlights the statement issued by CMS Group.

For Gorosito, the fact that the population has access to new technologies through smartphones, Internet and the COVID-19 pandemic are some facts that accelerated this growth of the sector, especially among the new generations more in tune with the new technological trends.

The Fintech Digital World Trip Fintech Program will present the technological trends, opportunities and challenges for the Fintech industry and its target audience is Fintechs, banks, institutional investors and venture capital funds interested in Fintech, Representatives of public policies oriented to the development of this industry, leaders and executives, professionals, businessmen, specialists, and technology service providers for the Fintech industry.
