The rescue shelter “Patitas de Amor”, of Honduras, recently announced that they will adopt the use of technology blockchain, to guarantee transparency in donations and create traceability in processes that take place inside the animal shelter. According to the information detailed in the statement, the advisor on cybersecurity and blockchain technologies and leader of the venture, Mario Pineda, mentions that have decided to join the initiative and technology offered by Firulaix Finance, with the purpose of “assist in the identification of pets in the country and create their identity digital”.
He further explained that This would allow the animal in question to be provided with a chip that, through a smart contracts, allow veterinarians, rescuers and authorities to recognize pets, as well as access to all information concerning the owner of the animal and, in the future, access to medical records.
They also state that with this initiative, It seeks to encourage more countries to establish more associations for the care and protection of animals and thus become part of the “World Animal Registry” of the Firulaix project.
“Joining Firulaixcoin allows us to have access to receive donations from all over the world through the support of Juan Mayen from -La Bitcoinera- first fintech in Honduras that has installed 3 cashiers for transactions with cryptocurrencies in Honduras,” the statement said.
