Moeda, a financial services fintech that uses blockchain, will have on its board of directors the President of the MasterCard Mexico and Central America Division since 2019, Jorge Noguera. Thus, he joins the three founders of the startup, which are the Brazilian Taynaah Reis, Brad Chun and Isa Yu.

Fintech provides services with a focus on social impact. This includes projects for small farmers and women, for example. And in 2021, he joined the MasterCard Start Path program. The goal, according to the startup, “is to globally scale its payments, impact funds and based services”.

Noguera has over 25 years of experience in the payments field. “Noguera’s experience with payments and fintechs will be invaluable in helping Moeda reach the next phase of scaling its blockchain-based payments and impact funds,” commented Taynaah. “I am honored to join Moeda’s board and help the company facilitate the financial inclusion of unbanked populations in Brazil”.
