Polygon and AlmaBetter will train people in Web3 technologies.
India has a huge pool of IT talent. However, given the rapid advancement in crypto, this talent is not proficient in Web3 technologies.
To meet that gap, Polygon and AlmaBetter have collaborated to upskill India’s youth.
They will offer blockchain and Web3 development programs, reported Financial Express.
The program is designed in a manner that it will benefit both students and young professionals keeping in with current industry demands and requirements.
“This association will enable quality offerings through this program catering to current industry needs. Polygon’s hiring will also make it exciting and encouraging for the students and contribute to the ecosystem.”
Shivam Dutta, co-founder and CEO of AlmaBetter
It will be a 28-week program that will cover the essentials of full-stack web development with a specialisation in Web3 development. Further, the students will not need to pay upfront as the program will operate on a pay-after-placement model and will conclude with placement for the students. The curriculum consists of five detailed modules, including Programming Web with Basic Javascript, Frontend Development, Backend Development, System Design and Architecture, with the last module being Web 3.0 Blockchain Technology.
Speaking to Inc42, Dutta revealed that those who bag a package of INR 6 Lakhs per annum will, however, have to pay a fee of INR 10,000 per month for a duration of 20 months, once they are placed.
India can become the tech hub of the Web3 industry. Its IT services are renowned globally. If it capitalizes on crypto, it may even begin competing with the advanced economies.
