Six students from the Tecnológico de Monterrey business career obtained first place after participating as a team in the national challenge carried out by the airline Aeroméxico together with the educational institution.
The airline mexicanThis year, Aeroméxico was part of the Tecnológico de Monterrey Training Partners program in the activity carried out by the technological “Reto Tec 2021”. This consisted in that the students had to study and analyze the airline’s business model and based on that they had to present options for innovative ideas that were capable of facing the present.
The activity had the participation of 3,500 students of the business career who were subdivided into 130 teams and then only five teams were selected, to make way for the final and from there choose the winning group; which was the campus Saltillo which was made up of six girls: Kiara, Sofia, Mercedes, Karla, Natalia and Andrea.
Faced with the enriching activity, the National Dean of the Tecnológico de Monterrey Business School, Maria Vazques, said: “One of the main value offers for Business students at Tec de Monterrey is direct contact with leading companies inside and outside our country, such as Aeroméxico. Through this alliance, we strengthen our commitment to develop in our students the necessary skills to face current and future challenges, while putting the talent of our students and teachers at the service of this emblematic company in our country.“This was announced on the airline’s website.
The proposal presented by the six business student girls was based on the use of the technology blockchain within the airline and also in a redesign of the website and the app.
“We proposed a redesign of the app and the airline’s website, as well as the use of the Blockchain technology to streamline the user experience at the airport ” the girls expressed, according to the publication issued by the technology on its web portal.
According to the integration of the blockchain, the students explained that they propose that with said technology and the reliability it provides, the documentation of each passenger be digitized and that their verification regarding the person who is going to board is carried out through fingerprint scanning. digital.
“With this we seek to reduce the time a passenger spends checking-in and boarding a plane, since their documentation would be directly linked to their footprint” the students explained for the institution’s website.
They also presented two more ideas with which they approached the process of looking for the boarding gateIn this situation, their idea was to create a navigation map at the airport so that each user knows where to go. The other proposal was to use radio frequency technology so as not to lose the location of luggage and that people always have the location of their suitcases in real time.
