The Ethereum Foundation has announced that DevCon 6 will be held from October 11 to 14, 2022 in Bogotá, Colombia. A new edition of the developer and user conference that, this time, will be held in Latin America.
From the Ethereum Foundation They highlight that the event will be held in the Colombian city as it has an unparalleled location. The event will take place in the Agora Bogotá. These facilities are of recent construction. Emphasis is placed on its strategic location, since it is very close to the El Dorado International Airport from Bogota, Colombia. It is also very close to historic neighborhoods of Santa Fe and Candelaria.
Before choosing Bogotá, it is highlighted that up to ten latin american cities. Among the reasons for choosing Colombia is its socio-economic stability, its culture, its gastronomy and having a large community of developers.
The Ethereum Foundation highlights that the process of choosing the DevCon 6 venue began before DevCon 5 was held. They wanted to take it to Latin America at the request of the community.
