The Brazilian Association of Cryptoeconomics (ABCcrypt) announces the arrival of a new exchange associated: Grupo Ripio, a pioneer in the crypto sector in Latin America.

“The Association welcomes this partner company with great enthusiasm, which joins us in building a healthy market for companies, regulators and people who work with blockchain or crypto-asset initiatives in Brazil. It is a union of forces to disseminate good practices and protect users and the assets entrusted to companies in the sector”, declares Rodrigo Monteiro, executive director of ABCripto.

Ripio has already joined the association’s staff until March 2021 and the return takes place in a new context of maturing of the Brazilian market.

“Grupo Ripio understands that this is the best time to join forces and contribute to the strengthening of our ecosystem. Last year was extremely important for the company, marked by the acquisition of BitcoinTrade and the series B investment round. With these expansions, we are expanding our presence in Brazil. In this way, returning to ABCripto is a strategic decision, even so that we can contribute decisively to the promotion of this industry in Brazil”, says Henrique Teixeira, Country Manager of Grupo Ripio.

With the entry of Grupo Ripio, ABCripto now has ten members, they are: Foxbit, Mercado Bitcoin, NovaDax, Bit Blue, Alter, Easy Cripto, Travalex Bank, Uniera and OWS Brasil.

Mercado Bitcoin launches new functionality

In another novelty on the cryptocurrencies in Brazil, the exchange Mercado Bitcoin, announced a new feature in its app, the simplified experience. With it, it will be possible to buy or sell assets in just three clicks.

Customers will also be able to invest in cryptocurrencies, DeFi, utility tokens, and fan tokens starting at R$1.

With the new simplified experience, the customer will only need to enter the Mercado Bitcoin app, choose the asset, enter the amount they want to trade (buy or sell), confirm and the transaction will be completed. From now on it will be easier for the client to invest in the more than 140 assets available on the platform.

According to Reinaldo Rabelo, CEO of Mercado Bitcoin, the ease of transactions for those who are not familiar with the crypto world is one of our bets to introduce more people to the new digital economy.

“That’s why we offer practical features that combine a simplified experience with the possibility of investing from R$1, bringing more autonomy to new investors.”

New cryptocurrencies in Brasil Bitcoin and Bitfy

Brasil Bitcoin exchange also announced the listing of two of the top cryptocurrency tokens that are on the rise: Aave (AAVE) and 0x (ZRX).

Aave is a decentralized financial project of decentralized lending operations between cryptocurrencies, being the main protocol in the industry among all existing thousands. Aave has already enjoyed a 2,500% appreciation since its launch.

ZRX is a token Ethereum used to govern the 0x protocol. The protocol itself is designed to allow you to exchange Ethereum tokens at a reduced cost directly from your wallet. Token 0x (ZRX) has gained about 53% this week following a partnership with Coinbase and its new NFTs platform.

Bitfy, on the other hand, started offering to its customers the cryptocurrency Algorand, developed by Silvio Micali, renowned professor of computer science at MIT and Bitfy partner, he received the Turing Prize in 2012, for his fundamental contributions involving cryptocurrencies and the blockchain protocol.

“For us, it is very important to have a currency like Algorand for our users. It is an asset that is growing every day and showing its strength in the market, such as El Salvador, which already uses ALGO as legal tender. Another differential is its blockchain, which is already used by large government institutions”, analyzes Lucas Schoch, CEO of Bitfy.
