Esporte Clube Bahia launches the second release of exclusive items that refer to the history of the Steel Squadron in digital collectibles, NFTs. After the success of the first edition, with the Tricolor de Aço mantles in 2022, fans will now be able to purchase the flag, in addition to the white shirt and the tricolor, both traditional.
In partnership with Block4, fantech that creates and manages digital collectibles platforms (TiBs), Bahia is making classic items from the club’s history available every week, mixed with current events. Items can be purchased from R$9.90 on the website.
“This initiative with Bahia aims to bring to the NFTs universe the fan’s passion with their heart club. More than memories of incredible moments, we want to integrate technology to a club so rich in history with its fans, bringing the tricolor pasta closer to the team”, says Thiago Canellas, CEO of Block4.
Moss sends BRL 150 million to conservation in the Amazon
MOSS, the company responsible for the token backed by carbon credits, MCO2, announced that it has already allocated more than R$150 million to conservation projects in the Amazon rainforest. The value comes from the various purchases of the token MCO2 made by users of the crypto asset.
Given this scenario of expansion, and always looking for innovations, Moss recently launched the Amazon NFT. A daring and innovative project, in which Moss bought forest areas and divided them into NFTs (non-fungible tokens), taking to the market the initiative to socialize – initially – the protection of 450 hectares of land.
The first 100 NFTs, worth more than BRL 1 million, placed on the OpenSea platform for pre-sale, sold out within hours. New series of NFTs are on the way in new formats to broaden access.
Each buyer of the Amazon NFT becomes the holder of rights over one hectare of land in the Amazon region, making a difference in protecting the largest biome on the planet.
Recently, Moss also started a movement to decentralize and strengthen its community with the launch of a governance token.
In this scenario, Moss Governance Token holders will be able to decide and participate in initiatives such as: new coin minting; inclusion of projects that can be added as carbon credit providers (after carrying out due diligence and audits by Moss); decentralization of processes (minting, auditing, improvements, protocol updates); new partnerships, and follow-on to purchase carbon credits and tokenization (community lot coins).
NFTs inspired by the EspĂrito Santo coast
The NXF bodyboard team, pioneers of Avalanche, a newly discovered wave in EspĂrito Santo, which is attracting surfers from all over the world, launched this month its first collection of NFTs.
The group selected a variety of photos, taken on the stands along the coast of EspĂrito Santo, to expose their vision of water sport in EspĂrito Santo. The images were taken by photographer Diego Silva.
The initiative aims to raise funds to pay for the team’s logistics in the search for big waves along the coast of EspĂrito Santo, as mentioned by Bernardo Nassar, a member of the group.
“NFTs are a worldwide trend, especially among athletes, teams and brands. And this time, we are launching a collection that highlights the reality of EspĂrito Santo.”
In addition to the launch, the group has just secured a $10,000 backing from Harmony, a blockchain protocol that hosts the madNFTs.io platform. The connection of the projects took place after the Harmony team came to Brazil to participate in the Ethereum Rio event, in March.
Among the 12 NFTs released is an image of the wave that won the Brazilian big wave award, in the category of best wave of the year 2021 surfed on a bodyboard.
“It’s a pleasure to win the award and be able to show the reality of Avalanche and still put it all together and immortalize the wave in an NFT available for anyone who wants to acquire it”, says champion Breno Kuster.
In the case of NXF, NFTs are available on the MadNFTs platform. To purchase an NFT, it is necessary to use a credit card to purchase it, guaranteeing access to exclusive content, discounts on NXF Brand products, podcast invites and experiences in the 2022 wave season.
