Crypto news: Bitfy selected by Mastercad, Bitso joins ABCripto and CoinEx will donate books to children

Brazilian fintech Bitfy announced that it will be part of the 3rd round of the Start Path Crypto program, conceived by MasterCard, that aims to support innovation in the cryptocurrencies, blockchain and digital assets ecosystem. Bitfy CEO and founder Lucas Schoch says the partnership will accelerate the company’s growth.

“Partnering with a giant like Mastercard will allow us to learn from their experience,” he said.

Mastercard’s Vice President of Market and Development for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), Kiki del Valle, highlighted that the initiative contributes to the ecosystem of digital currencies.

“As a technology leader, we know we play a key role in digital assets, helping to shape the industry and keeping consumers safe.”

According to an Americas Market Intelligence (AMI) survey, commissioned by Mastercard, 19% of Latin American adults use or have used digital currencies, and that the modality is rapidly expanding to consumers with fewer resources, traditionally excluded from the financial system.

Bitso joins ABCripto

The Brazilian Association of Cryptoeconomics (ABCcrypt) announces the arrival of a new associated company: Bitso.

“It is with great joy that we welcome another great company, which is the type of partnership that can only add to this market. Once again, ABCripto is proud of a union that will provide Brazilians with even more quality”, says Rodrigo Monteiro, director of ABCripto.

Bitso was founded in 2014 and became the first unicorn in the cryptocurrency segment in Latin America. The company has just completed 1 year of operation in Brazil, where the number of customers has quadrupled in recent months.

“It is a great pride to be part of ABCripto and an important step towards strengthening the local ecosystem and being able to reach the full potential that the cryptoeconomy offers to Brazilians. We believe that collaboration and innovation are the basis for promoting greater freedom and financial inclusion, and we look forward to working with ABCripto and all its associates in pursuit of these goals”, points out Thales Freitas, CEO of Bitso in Brazil.

With the arrival of Bitso, ABCripto now has eleven members. They are: Foxbit, Mercado Bitcoin, NovaDax, Bit Blue, Alter, Easy Cripto, Travalex Bank, Uniera, OWS Brasil and Grupo Ripio.

CoinEx will donate books to children

Focusing on the education of young children around the world, CoinEx Charity is making a global book donation from May 26th, with the intention of improving children’s reading environment.

The campaign will start in Turkey and will expand to schools in poor regions in 11 countries, including Syria, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nigeria, Malaysia, India, Brazil, Germany and South Korea.

CoinEx Charity will help schools build charitable reading corners and donate books to provide more reading opportunities for local children.

The Multi-Million Dollar Charity Fund, CoinEx Charity, is a charitable foundation dedicated to alleviating “learning poverty” around the world. As International Children’s Day approaches, the fund will launch a charity campaign to build reading corners and donate books to needy schools around the world.

The first 3 book donation events from CoinEx Charity will take place in Antakya (Turkey), Damascus (Syria) and Bangkok (Thailand) on May 26, 28 and 30, respectively, and around 4,000 books will be donated to 7 local schools.

In addition, CoinEx Charity also purchased bookshelves to build reading corners at each school. In June, the campaign will reach 8 countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Nigeria, Malaysia, India, Brazil, Germany and South Korea, with a total of over 9,000 donated books.

During the campaign, the expectation is that 13,000 books will be donated and that several reading rooms will be built to offer better learning spaces, allowing children to read and learn with passion anytime, anywhere.
