New Hope Ecotech, a Brazilian company dedicated to uniting the manufacturing business world with the recycling industry and with a branch in Chile since 2018, last year began the process of creating a Waste Management System (GRANSIC) based on blockchain technology and thus collaborate with the adherence of production companies to the REP Law (Law of Extended Producer Responsibility).
The process of the project currently has little time to have entered the Court of Defense of Free Competition and they plan to start operating in the month of September of the year 2023. This GRANSIC is specifically aimed at household containers and packaging.
“There were intense months of joint work with various actors. Today we finally take this big step of entering the processing of this GRANSIC before the TDLC and we are eager to continue advancing in everything that the Chilean regulation requires to start operating this project that will transform recycling management in Chile” expressed the Operations Manager of New Hope Ecotech and Operations Coordinator of the GRANSIC project, Javier Garcia; according to the web portal of PaĂs Circular.
With the idea of this project, New Hope Ecotech managed to bring together more than 21 companies that collaborated to materialize this initiative the same that will make these producers comply with the call of the REP Law to adhere to a Management System to pay for the collection, separation and recycling of waste.
The law specifies five main categories for the Management System, which are: oils and lubricants, electrical and electronic equipment, cells and batteries, containers and packaging, and tires.
The Brazilian firm will use blockchain technology in this 100% home project to create confidence in the client regarding the traceability of the containers after their use until their delivery to their respective clients.
New Hope Ecotech has previously operated with the creation of a GRANSIC because currently in Brazil The “Instituto Rever” Management System is operating under its signature and, in addition, in France, a Management System that is also 100% domiciliary works under the advice and traceability technology of the Brazilian company.
