Now, the Blocknews logo is another one that is registered in blockchain. The registration took place this Monday (20) through Inspire IP, a platform focused on Copyright on the Ethereum network. This way, it will be possible to safely verify that the logo belongs to Blocknews if, in the future, someone tries to misappropriate it.
There are already several cases in which the Court has recognized that blockchain registration is valid as evidence in the process. Thus, property rights are created for assets such as logos, patents, licenses and copyrights. “It’s a precaution,” says Caroline Nunes, founder and CEO of Inspire IP.
With this, it is possible to verify information such as registration date, authenticity, origin and ownership. Blocknews logo transaction can be verified by link https://etherscan.io/tx/0xb76df5340e825369358d56509eb85fabfc74ff7f33a418fd9ee878d5b513efd2 . This type of record allows you to verify information such as date, authenticity and origin.
Blockchain registration already has Justice Recognition
The process on the Inspire IP platform took about 5 minutes and the cost was R$50.00. Blocknews itself registered.
We chose to register in blockchain because if there is any change in the logo in the future, even if this is not foreseen, it will be easier to carry out a new registration, compared to the procedure at the National Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI). At this institute, the registration of the Blocknews brand is already underway.
According to Caroline, many companies register assets such as patents, trademarks and copyrights in blockchain even if they have already started the process with official bodies. This is because these processes can take months – in the case of patents, even years. In this way, companies and authors ensure the recognition of ownership through reliable, secure and immutable information.
