The Blockchain Academy of Chile, in collaboration with the Celo Foundation, announce a call for Blockchain Business Incubation.
This program has a total duration of 18 months based on three stages that will end with a Demo Day.
Through this program, the aim is to promote startups that have a measurable and attainable market. They must have a business model that allows them to have good economic viability in the medium term. In addition, they must have a minimum viable product development that is fast and offers scalability.
After the incubation period of this program, there is the possibility of making a presentation. The presentation in Chile will feature investors, venture capital funds and acceleration programs.
We have seen how in Latin American venture capital funds, during 2021, have invested over 20,000 million dollars in technology companies. Investments have been made both in early-stage projects and in late-stage startups.
This initiative seeks to offer participating projects advice and support from mentors with experience in blockchain in the region. The aim is to accelerate the development of projects and participate in this rapidly growing market.
Access to talks and specialized workshops are also offered in each of the stages. These consist of the development of the project and business model, technical development and validation of the minimum viable product. The projects will be provided with the necessary tools to subsequently apply an acceleration program.
This program also has added benefits from companies such as Amazon Web Services, Hubspot and others. They will be able to take advantage of the tools and solutions offered by these companies.
To participate, you can register on the incubator website. The deadline for registration is until April 24, 2022. Once the proposals are received, an evaluation of them will be carried out and the best projects will be selected. The program will start on May 9, 2022.
Alejandra Pacheco, Lead Accelerator of Blockchain Academy Chile pointed out:
“There is an increase in the adoption of the use of crypto and blockchain solutions in Latin America, which represents an opportunity for growth and development of projects in the region. The problems are diverse, but also the solutions, it is enough to see the different projects that are currently in force in the region. At Blockchain Academy Chile, we are convinced of the potential and opportunity represented by supporting these projects that, lacking a solution-oriented guide of this nature, do not materialize and that participating in this Incubation program will provide them with the necessary tools to be able to apply to acceleration programs.”
On the other hand, Daniel Olarte, Community Development Lead at the Celo Foundation, expressed:
“We have found a huge source of crypto talent in Latin America. The founders and programmers who are developing projects on Celo not only have technical expertise but also a deep understanding of the problems they want to solve. In the spirit of creating more and better programs to channel this talent, we have worked with Blockchain Academy Chile to create this incubator. I hope that these are the first steps in creating a fruitful community of crypto entrepreneurs.”
