This Saturday, April 23, 2022, the “Bitcoin Forum, Mexico and the Digital Economy” will be held in the Mexican Senate through the Directorate of Economy and Financial Education of the legislative body, according to a press release sent to Cointelegraph Español earlier today by Legions.

The non-profit organization will be in charge of organizing the forum inside the public body of the Latin American nation with the purpose to promote the participation of young people, legislators, businessmen, academics and professionals in similar events related to regulation, blockchain, and crypto assets objectively.

The event will address issues inherent to the operation of Bitcoin, blockchain technology, the role of regulators within the Fintech ecosystem in Mexico, as well as in the rest of the world. Similarly, the program will do a practical workshop to use a cryptocurrency wallet, among other aspects of relevance to the ecosystem.

This event has the objective of promoting in Mexico a greater adoption of digital assets coming from expert voices in the crypto and fintech ecosystem in the Aztec nation.

In this regard, Eloisa Cadenas, Co-founder of PXO pointed out that “It is important for politicians to understand the whole context, not just the negative side that they have associated with crypto assets. Understanding the crypto-asset industry requires different knowledge since not everything represents the same thing, for example, talking about bitcoin as legal tender is not the same as a discussion about a central bank digital currency (CBDC)”.
