At least 165 cryptocurrency mining equipment is seized in Venezuela


In a joint work of the police and administrative authorities of that country, an operation was carried out that resulted in the seizure of at least 165 miners assets in an unauthorized manner in a town in the state of Miranda, Venezuela.

In the Caribbean country there is a regulation that deals with the cryptographic world, and these regulations must be governed by natural or legal persons who wish to engage in exploiting this activity economical, for this they must follow a series of requirements established by the government from Venezuela.

The administrative body to coordinate these operations is Sunacrip, together with the forces of security of the Venezuelan state to proceed with the supervision and in cases of non-compliance with the regulations in force in that country, the immediate seizure and disconnection of the equipment found.

The police agency through the social network Twitter reported the details of the operation deployed by the Police Intelligence Division of the Bolivarian National Police.

This operation is part of the efforts that the Venezuelan government has been making to give legal security to those who carry out the activity in the country, for this reason the National Superintendency of Cryptoactives and Related Activities have been joining forces with the police and military authorities to comply with the current regulations of the country.

As reported by this medium in a note from previous press, the security forces of the Venezuelan state through a circular that was released through the National Association of Cryptocurrencies in Venezuela, is urging compliance with the corresponding regulations for the development of these operations.

In this sense, two aspects are verified, compliance with current regulations, and also taking care that the use of electrical energy, which is a scarce and unstable resource, therefore the consumption of electrical energy must be protected and guaranteed to the rest of the population, and according to this premise, the use in illegal mining activities are immediately uninstalled.
