According to the Primicia Honduras medium, the idea of the meeting with Brock Pierce was to exchange ideas with Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, and also talk about “how Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies could help Hondurans achieve financial stability and gain wealth, create jobs, stimulate local economies and generate trade. “

The investing.com portal clarified that the meeting was scheduled for the night of August 23. “Local media reports and even some messages on Twitter from the same businessman Brock Pierce state that he has held meetings with Honduran officials since August 22, where they discussed Bitcoin and its imminent adoption as a legal currency in El Salvador,” they detailed.
“International cryptocurrency entrepreneurs also participate in meetings with Honduran government officials, although some kind of agreement with Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández was ruled out,” they later added in the Investing.com article.
