The digital assets exchange, Binance, recently issued a statement in which it refers to the commercial agreement that has been reached with the Argentina Football Association (GRANDPA), where the cryptocurrencies platform appears as the new Global Main Sponsor of the National Teams, Official Fan Token of AFA and Naming Sponsor of the Professional Soccer League.
The agreement will be for a period of 5 years, and is classified as one of the largest commercial agreements that the AFA has carried out, and the first “sponsorship contract for a soccer team worldwide” made by the global company of blockchain, Binance.
In addition, the contract includes the development of a Fan Token, which will be released to market. It should be noted that the “fans token”, they function as digital currencies, or financial assets, in this case of the selections, which they represent and circulate through a given blockchain.
In this regard, the general director of Binance for Latin America, Maximiliano Hinz, indicated that from the company, they hope that this new fan token will bring, “many new features so that the public can have a much closer contact with the selection”.
Furthermore, he added that “From Binance we are very happy to be able to accompany the AFA on its way through the Blockchain world. Thanks to this alliance, we seek to bring all the benefits of our platform to the public of the national team”.
For his part, Claudio Tapia, president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), stressed that in recent years, the association has carried out multiple commercial agreements that have led the AFA to venture into new digital businesses, and that in turn, they have added to the association a significant increase in income, he also highlighted that, “ This agreement with Binance meets all the conditions we are looking for. A leading global brand in its field, innovative and with a vision to create new digital assets. We are very happy with the addition of Binance as a trading partner of AFA.”
In this sense, and under this context, the co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Binance, He Yi, expressed that Through this agreement, the aim is to support Argentine soccer at all levels, while at the same time making the platform known, not only in the region, but also worldwide.
