Global venture capital investments in blockchain and cryptocurrency startups set a new record in the third quarter of 2021, which made the value for the year add up to US$ 15 billion (about R$ 90 billion). It was a growth of 384% compared to the same period of 2020. The contribution of US$ 200 million that the Bitcoin Market received was the new biggest in the period from July to September. The data is from the report “State of blockchain Q3 2021” by CBInsights.
Thus, 12 blockchain startups became unicorns, including the Bitcoin Market, adding up to 31. Another six are from the United States (USA). It was the biggest growth in a period so far, says CBInsights.
