Registration for the most important award in the Brazilian financial sector was extended until October 18th. The BANKING TRANSFORMATION Award, the new name of the Cantarino Brasileiro Banking Report Award, is aimed at banks and other companies in the financial ecosystem, such as fintechs.
Now in its 17th edition, the BANKING TRANSFORMATION award is divided into two pillars. “Thus, it will give voice and prominence not only to traditional and digital banks, but also to the players in the financial ecosystem that have come to stay with the implementation of open banking”, said Marcos Cantarino, creator of the award.

According to Cantarino, the objective remains to promote, encourage and value the main initiatives. Thus, one of the pillars is that of traditional and native digital banks. The other is that of companies in the financial ecosystem, including payment means (acquirers, brands, card issuers), fintechs and finance companies.
In addition, they also include companies such as securities carriers, investment funds, stock exchanges, credit bureaus, credit unions, brokers and securities dealers and insurance companies.
Institutions will compete in 12 categories, including applications, customer experience, security, inclusion, pandemic impact mitigation, instant payments, open banking and ESG.
