Blocknews and Cantarino Brasileiro, organizer of the Banking Report, Banking Innovation and Open Finance awards and events, will hold, on June 7, the first episode of Blockchain Finance Brazil 2022, which will bring together representatives of native blockchain companies and conventional financial institutions to discuss the adoption of technology that is already disrupting the financial system. The aim is to discuss what is happening and what we can expect from changes in the future.
This first episode will be online and free. The panels will take place from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and registration is done through the link https://bit.ly/38vUz9h .
In this first episode there will be two panels. In the first one, “Blockchain and the New Brazilian Exchanges”, will participate representatives of the three platforms that are in the sandbox of the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) and the Central Bank and that use the technology, bringing more options for raising funds for companies and of assets for investors. Thus, Fernando Carvalho, managing partner of QR Capital, who is a partner of Vórtx QR Tokenizadora, a project in the CVM sandbox, will be in the debate, Keiji Sakai, Sakai, director of Bolsa OTC, which is in the sandbox of BC, and Marcelo Miranda, founder of Finchain and partner of BEE4, another project in the CVM sandbox.
The second panel will be “Blockchain: Reinventing Financial Processes”, with the participation of leading companies in the sector. The panelists will be Marcelo Hirata, CIO of reinsurer IRB Brasil RE, George Marcel Smetana, specialist in research and innovation at Bradesco, and Gustavo Paro, Country Head and Head of Sales for Latin America at R3. In this discussion, we will address how blockchain tests and use cases indicate that it is an efficient solution for a variety of processes by delivering faster, safer, and lower costs. In this way, it generates gains for companies and their customers.
“At Blockchain Finance Brazil 2022 we will always have some of the most relevant names in the blockchain ecosystem talking about their projects, their visions and perspectives for the market. It is increasingly clear that the use of blockchain in financial processes and in the creation of tokens and cryptoassets is a path of no return. And as it is a movement that runs so quickly, we need to discuss where we are in the solution of old limitations of the system and where we are going with the opportunities that blockchain allows”, says Claudia Mancini, founder and editorial director of Blocknews, and curator and mediator of the panels. .
“I see that blockchain is still an enigma for many in the financial ecosystem. As a company whose mission is to anticipate trends and foster financial inclusion, it is our obligation to bring this issue to the fore and engage our community,” says Cantarino Brasileiro CEO Marcos Cantarino.
