Coinbase, one of the largest cryptocurrency platforms in the world, officially announced Coinbase Brazil, which will have as its first public action the holding of a virtual event called Cracking the Coding Interview which will take place on May 12 at 7pm.
As reported by Coinbase to Cointelegraph, the meeting aims to prepare your potential candidates for a successful interview, with tips, dynamics and simulations.
The initiative is part of the strategy to seek new talents for the company and to hire more and more Brazilian professionals, mainly in the engineering field. This year, the company chose the country as its latest technological talent hub.
Brazilian engineers MaurĂcio de Oliveira and Bernardo Heynemann will be the speakers at the event, which will last for two hours. Priscilla Rossi, a Coinbase recruiter, also participates to answer questions related to the selection process.
Speakers will share information about the company’s history, culture, mission and goals, as well as teaching participants how to be effective during interviews with Coinbase. During the event, everyone will be encouraged to actively participate.
“Our objective is to attract new talent and, for that, there is nothing better than being receptive and warm with our potential candidates. Thus, we seek to promote initiatives such as these, which bring us closer to people, to simplify the recruitment process and make interviews increasingly effective. We believe that some of the best engineering talent is in Latin America, a strategic region for our growth, and we are excited to promote this event as part of the expansion in Brazil”, explains recruiter Priscilla Rossi.

Coinbase and Brazil
Recently, rumors have surfaced in the national cryptocurrency market that Coinbase was in conversation with the 2TM to buy the exchange Mercado Bitcoin and all other companies in the group.
According to information from the Broadcast column, from EstadĂŁo, the purchase of MB by Coinbase was being negotiated since last year. The purchase involves the acquisition, by Coinbase, of the 2TM holding company that controls MB and the companies Meubank, MB Digital Assets, CriptoLoja, Bitrust, Blockchain Academy, MezaPro, Wuzu and Portal do Bitcoin.
The amounts involved in the acquisition were not informed. Sought after, neither MB nor Coinbase wanted to comment on the information. Recently, without citing details of its expansion plan, Coinbase publicly declared that Brazil is a key player in its expansion into Latin America.
