A partnership between the company NFTOYER, the Santos soccer club, and the sports brand Umbro will have as a product a collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in honor of the legendary Chorão, lead singer of the band Charlie Brown Jr, founded in 1992 in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo. Alexandre Magno Abrão, aka Chorão, died in March 2013 at the age of 42 leaving a legacy for Brazilian music, in genres such as rock, skate punk, rap, hip hop, hardcore and ska.
Chorão, who was also a skateboarder, was chosen to inaugurate NFTOYER’s portfolio of stars and pop culture idols, as Santos, the artist’s team at heart, and Umbro also promote other initiatives to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary.

According to the company, the NFTs will be available from the 5th of May, which includes extra pieces from the collection, such as accessories and mystery items. With unique and limited runs, the NFTs have a seal of authenticity and will be sold at auction divided into three editions:
CARBON: Chorão collectible and accessories, in box-shaped packaging, in 2500 units;

It’s not the first time the band has taken the NFTs stage. At the end of 2021, about to turn 30 years old, Charlie Brown Jr announced the ‘CBJR 30 Years’ tour with original lineup musicians and the release of NFTs linked to the shows as reported by the Cointelegraph Brazil.
